MOCK DRAFT
Ask the Commish.Com 2025 Draft Kit
There was a time when the ordinarily reliable Koo was a shoe-in top five fantasy option at kicker. But he is coming off a tough season. In 2024 Koo's field goal percentage dropped to 73.5%, a career low. He still maintained a perfect record on extra points, but he ended the season on injured reserve with a hip injury, which may have contributed to his struggles. Koo is expected to be the Falcons' kicker in 2025 and is looking to bounce back after his injury-plagued 2024 season. Despite the struggles, he is considered a No. 1 Fantasy kicker coming into the 2025 season. The Falcons offense is expected to provide him with scoring opportunities, making him a worthwhile fantasy asset, but managers should monitor his early-season performance for signs of lingering struggles.
McPherson appears to have recovered from a torn abductor muscle sustained in 2024. That injury forced him to miss the team's final five games last season. The Florida product had the worst season of his NFL career in 2024, converting on just 16 of 22 field-goal attempts (72.7%). We love him as a bounce-back candidate in 2025. McPherson's fantasy value is tied to the success of the Bengals' offense, which is expected to be productive with a healthy Joe Burrow. He has demonstrated the ability to make long field goals, and now that he is healthy we like him as a top 6-8 fantasy kicker option heading into 2025.
McLaughlin finished the 2024 regular season having gone 30-for-32 (93.8 percent) on field goals and 54-for-56 on PATs. The veteran kicker managed to inch past his previous career-best field-goal accuracy rate of 93.5 percent, which he'd established the year before. Tampa Bay's offense is expected to be explosive again, which should provide him with plenty of scoring opportunities. He has a knack for making long field goals, especially those from 50+ yards. Honestly we like him as well as any of the kickers who are considered "studs", but you can get quality production from him by waiting until the final rounds of the draft to acquire him.
Karty was 29-for-34 on field goals and 32-for-36 on PAT's in 2024. He finished the regular season strong, making all four field-goal attempts and his lone extra-point attempt in the final game against the Seahawks. The Rams offense under Coach Sean McVay consistently provides kickers with field goal opportunities, attempting at least 30 field goals in every season. While there have been some inconsistencies in his performance, his late-season strength and history of long field goals make him a player to consider as a late-round option in your fantasy draft.
Justin Tucker was THE man for a number of years as the prolific Ravens kicker, but off-field issues led to his release -- and the enviable kicking job now goes to rookie Tyler Loop. Loop -- who was first kicker drafted in the Ravens' 30-year history -- appears poised to assume the team's placekicking duties. He has demonstrated impressive leg strength, evidenced by a program-record 62-yard field goal in college and videos of him kicking from as far as 70 yards in training. The Ravens consistently rank among the league's highest-scoring teams with Lamar Jackson at quarterback, which could translate to more scoring opportunities for their kicker.
