MATT GAY Gay will miss Week 8 due to a lingering back injury, with Washington instead elevating Matthew Wright from the practice squad to handle placekicker duties. It remains to be seen whether Gay's injury could force him to miss any more time, but his next chance to take the field will come Week 9 at home against the Seahawks on Sunday, Nov. 2.
